EBI Mechanical Systems LLC

EBI’s liftboat jacking systems are comprised of four different planetary gearbox models; the GB73, GB82, GB380 and the GB450. The GB73 is installed on many EBI liftboats used in the GOM. The GB82 is used on larger EBI liftboats as well as 320′ ABS Class liftboat designs.

All EBI Gear Reductions are designed and manufactured to meet all requirements set forth by API Spec 2C, ABS, USCG and OSHA.

GB40

GB82

EBI’s proven planetary gearbox, the GB82, has been used in service for many years within the EBI fleet. Long lasting, dependable, and easy to maintain, the GB82 is the perfect solution for small to mid-sized liftboat designs.

  • 82:1 ABS approved to 178,500 lb jacking force.
  • 100% designed and fabricated by EBI.

GB380

The GB380 provides a mid range planetary gearbox option. It is similar in design and concept to the GB450, providing an economical option for lighter load applications.
